There’s lots of dazzling, fancy features in the Mac environment, and it’s continually evolving.
Eye candy aside, there are fundamental rules within this environment, that have existed for decades, are set in stone, and will never change.
To grasp these fundamentals, this first chapter looks at three separate topics: the hard drive inside your computer, how the data within that hard drive is organised into folders, and the application we use to navigate those folders: Finder. You’ll also learn about your Home folder – the place where all your stuff lives.
By the end of this tutorial you’ll understand how to navigate your way around the computer, and will have a mental map of where the important things are located.
