We can use Finder to create a new folder, and give it a name of our choosing. The best place to store new folders that you create is within your Home folder.
For this example, create a new folder within your Documents folder. To do so, navigate to Documents first: In Finder, choose Documents from the Go menu.

A Finder window will appear, displaying the contents of your Documents folder. To create a new folder, choose File->New Folder from the menu bar.
